AMMAN, June 13 — The World Health Organisation (WHO) announced that more than 8,000 children aged under five in the Gaza Strip have been treated for acute malnutrition, including 1,600 suffering from severe acute malnutrition, resulting in 28 deaths, Jordan News Agency reported.

CAIRO/JERUSALEM/LONDON, March 19 — Extreme food shortages in parts of the Gaza Strip have already exceeded famine levels, and mass death is now imminent without an immediate ceasefire and surge of food to areas cut off by fighting, the global hunger monitor said on Monday.
